Around 8.30pm on July 13th 2010, a Tuesday night. There came through the double glazing like many time before. The bawling and shouting of drunken teenagers. Most of the time itxs like water off a ducks back till I noticed a cop car. Then spotted a group of teens carrying away one of their palls, who was clearly drunk and in mood for a fight.The cops soon grabbed him after he broke away from his palls. His arms flailing all over the place, cursing and swearing his discontent as he stumbled onto the road where the police grabbed hold of him. Three coppers soon gathered around him, as one told him to shut up and go home or he would be nicked as they had already just told him to leave.
The guy soon left still squaring up to the police as his pals, once again got between him to shut him up. I was well surprised he wasnxt dragged off there and then, just for his comments alone. And done for a breach if not underage drinking.
In all there where around six police officers in the street being watched by groups of teenagers, who where all told to go home. While the angry youth continued to shout insults as he headed up the hill to King street. Again the police would have been well with their rights to arrest him but they probably thought his pals, still dragged him away would have a better chance of calming him down. Other wise the cells would have been his cold hard bed for the night.
While all this was going on, cops where detaining one girl down by no5 clavering street & she wasnxt so lucky. As she was cuffed and stuck in the back of one off the panda cars parked sitting in the middle of the road outside no5 clavering street.
What this was all about, like so many disturbances before is anyonexs guess. Booze related as no5 back door has become a place for teens to hang out drinking. The CCTV van remained on the scene and as I write this the council have turned up too No5 AGAIN, to carry out repairs. Now just watch your council tax bills go up to pay for all his mess.
